Live Nation’s mission is to maximize the live concert experience.  Their core business is producing, marketing and selling live concerts for artists via a global music platform.

Live Nation is the largest producer of live concerts in the world, annually producing over 22,000 concerts for 1,600 artists in 33 countries.  During 2008, the company sold over 50 million concert tickets and drove over 70 million unique visitors to LiveNation.com. 

Live Nation is transforming the concert business by expanding its concert platform into ticketing and building the industry’s first artist-to-fan vertically integrated concert platform.  

The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, trading under the symbol LYV.

SJM Concerts have worked with a range of artists over the years including Take That, The Stone Roses, Oasis, Radiohead, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Robbie Williams, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, ACDC, Paramore, Spice Girls, The Prodigy, JLS, Muse and Peter Kay. SJM promote the week of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust and recently promoted the televised Children In Need Rocks at Manchester Arena.

In 1996, SJM initiated the "V" Festival with a consortium of three other promoters. The award winning event has consistently been voted the best festival in end of year polls, leading to the two-side format being widely imitated by competitors.

In 2011 SJM promoted Take That's record breaking Progress Tour which sold over 1 million tickets in one day and Foo Fighters who headlined two nights Milton Keynes Bowl.  2012 see's The Stone Roses play three nights at Manchester’s Heaton Park – these shows sold out in 68 minutes making them the fastest selling rock gigs in UK history.  This year also sees Coldplay head out on a stadium tour which includes three nights at London’s Emirates Stadium.

As well as promoting in every major UK Stadium, SJM Concerts promote over 2,500 concerts a year at every level of venue making them the UK’s busiest promoters.

SJM Concerts is one of the leading promoters in the UK and has since been voted ‘Promoter Of The Year’ several times by industry magazine “Live”. More recently SJM Concerts was awarded Live Promotion Team of the Year at 2010 and 2011 Music Week Awards. SJM Concerts is owned by AMG shareholders, Rob Ballantine, Chris York and managing director Simon Moran who sits on the Academy Music Group Board of Directors.

Metropolis Music was founded in 1985 by Bob Angus. Fellow director Paul Hutton joined the company in 1987 and Glyn Smith became Financial Director in 2004. The business has grown in stature and reputation over the years and is now recognised as one of the country’s leading independent concert promotion companies. Bob Angus also sits on the executive committee of the Concert Promoters Association. There are currently twenty five plus full time employees at Metropolis Music. 

The company promotes some five hundred concerts per year in clubs, ballrooms, city halls, arenas and stadiums across the UK. They have promoted many of the most significant acts today and among their many current clients are Robbie Williams, Eminem, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Kings Of Leon, Razorlight, Foo Fighters, Rammstein, System Of A Down, Blur, Basement Jaxx, Bjork, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, The Specials, Lily Allen, Elbow, Scissor Sisters and Nick Cave.

They are committed to working with acts from their inception, helping to build their careers as touring artistes from their first small concerts to huge arenas and green field sites.  Significant events have included - 3 record breaking nights of Robbie Williams at Knebworth Park, 5 nights at Milton Keynes Bowl and 2 nights at Cardiff Millennium Stadium; Coldplay at Crystal Palace and Wembley Stadium; Oasis at Wembley Stadium, Milton Keynes Bowl, Coventry Ricoh Stadium and Cardiff Millennium Stadium; Eminem at Milton Keynes Bowl; Blur at Mile End Stadium and Hyde Park.

Metropolis Music is also a partner in the “V Festival”, sponsored by the Virgin Group, a dual site event and consistent winner of Live Magazine’s European Festival Of The Year. Metropolis Music currently work with a number of media partners and sponsors to produce events such as the NME Awards Shows, T4 on the Beach (as consultant), BBC Electric Proms, and Summer Series at Somerset House. 

In June 2008 Metropolis Music Management was created with Director Raye Cosbert; the company currently manages the Brits 2007 Best Female Artist and 5 Grammy Award winning Amy Winehouse, and has an ever expanding roster of new and exciting artistes, including Sam Sparro, Dionne Bromfield and GLC.
