//

O2 Academy Sheffield was awarded the title of ‘Best Live Venue’ for the second year running at Exposed Magazine’s fourth annual ceremony. Held at The Octagon, Sheffield on Thursday 25th February 2010, O2 Academy Sheffield beat off stiff competition from The Harley, The Redhouse, Plug and the Leadmill.
The venue opened in April 2008, with a sell-out performance from local heroes Reverend and The Makers and an after-party courtesy of Jarvis Cocker. Since then, it has welcomed blistering performances from the likes of The Specials, Kasabian and Lily Allen.
O2 Academy Sheffield is one of the largest venues in the City and was also nominated in the ‘Best Club’ category, and its weekly leading club night, Propaganda was shortlisted for ‘Best Club Night’.
