The Shockwaves NME Awards took over O2 Academy Brixton for the second year running and once again the rock 'n' roll ceremony provided some incredible live performances and artist collaborations. Kasabian kicked off proceedings joined by a totally bonkers Noel Fielding flinging severed heads into the crowd - a gesture followed by wonderful host Jarvis who handed out a selection of sandwiches mid ceremony! Other notable performances came from Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro accompanied by Marina of Marina And The Diamonds fame and a standout performance from winner of the prestigious Godlike Genius award, Modfather Paul Weller.
