Three O2 Academy venues were announced in the top 10 list of the PRS for Music’s Top 100 UK Music Venues. AMG venues in Birmingham (#3) Islington (London) (#6) and Newcastle (#8)  hit the top spots, with a grand total of nine venues making the top 50, from data which analysed over 10,000 venues in 2011. Other figures saw London account for 30% of the top 100 live venues, followed by Glasgow, Birmingham and Bristol, all O2 Academy locations.
