O2 ABC Glasgow
O2 ABC Glasgow once housed Scotland’s first cinema in 1896 and over the years was also known as The Ice Palace, The Hippodrome and Hengler’s Circus until reverting to its cinema status in the 20th Century in various incarnations as the Regal, the MGM, Cannon and of course, the ABC until 1999. Situated in Sauchiehall Street, O2 ABC Glasgow occupies the distinctive Art Deco building and is spread over four floors, incorporating two live music venues – O2 ABC (1,362 capacity) and O2 ABC2 (350 capacity).
O2 ABC Glasgow hosts some 450 events per annum, thus some 250,000 attendees to its concerts and club nights.
