Our Commitment to
Sustainable Live Music
//

Environmental conservation is one of the most important and pressing issues of our time and the music industry is finally standing up to its responsibly to reducing its carbon footprint and being ‘green’.
Through Julie's Bicycle, the UK music industry commissioned a study of its total carbon footprint. The results were interesting reading: 1 million tonnes, equivalent to the annual emissions from 180,000 cars. This was an epic figure, the combination of live touring, promotion, not to mention the sale and packaging of music products.
With the industry already under intense scrutiny after worldwide events such as Live 8, Academy Music Group, has a responsibility to make a difference.
Whilst bands are finally thinking about what equipment they should pack, how big their production needs to be and what they really need to freight across the globe in the plight of international stardom and worldwide touring, we are keeping tabs on the energy that keeps our beer chilled, our stages lit and our amps powered.
We are already working on many projects and details of these will be uploaded shortly.
