who we are

Academy Events are concert promoters and event organisers for Academy Music Group (AMG), owners and operators of O2 Academy venues in London (Brixton, Islington) Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, Oxford, West London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and O2 ABC Glasgow.

Currently promoting over 1000 concerts a year, the Academy Events team works across AMG’s network of venues staging gigs of all sizes and genres. With access to 24 different venue capacities and configurations within the estate, Academy Events represent both established acts and unsigned artists. Our range of venues also allows Academy Events to promote bands through various stages of their careers, playing the intimate settings of the smaller venues to the bright lights of the O2 Academy main auditoriums.

Dedicated to working with new and emerging talent, Academy Events don’t just stage gigs but manage and promote ‘Academy Live’, a nationwide tour to help support up and coming artists. This initiative gives local bands the chance to play outside of their region to crowds around the country, as they tour the UK on a rotating headline bill.
